Entry is an act of going in. Some common uses of the term “entry” in a legal sense include:

• In the context of administrative law and procedure , entry is defined as “a ministerial act of recording a statement of final decision reached by the court or quasi court before it” - see City of Lake Charles v. Lake Charles Fire Fight .
• In the context of finance law, a record of a financial transaction documented in the appropriate accounting ledger is known as entry.
