A hyperlink, sometimes called a link, is any component of a webpage that connects two different webpages or two different locations of the same website. Hyperlinks are sometimes a different color than the rest of the text (e.g. they are blue here), or underlined to indicate that they will take the user somewhere else. Clicking on a link will either take the user to a different webpage or a different location on the same website.
For example, if a person is on a book review webpage and clicks on the title of the book (seeing that there is a hyperlink), they might be directed to an online store that sells the book.
