The following are ALL rules, proposed rules, and notices (chronologically) published in the Federal Register relating to 47 CFR Part 20 after this date.
In this document, the Commission adopts amendments to its rules to facilitate a transition from outdated text telephone (TTY) technology to a reliable and interoperable means of providing real-time text (RTT) communication for people who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have a speech disability over Internet Protocol (IP) enabled networks and services.
In this document, the Commission announces that the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved, for a period of three years for fixed broadband Internet access service (3060-1158) and for a period of two years for mobile broadband Internet access service (3060-1220), the information collections associated with the transparency rule enhancements adopted by the Commission in Protecting and Promoting the Open Internet, Report and Order on Remand, Declaratory Ruling, and Order ( Open Internet Order ). On August 11, 2015, the Commission requested approval of a modified information collection to include the transparency rule enhancements. OMB has approved the information collection as it applies to fixed broadband Internet access service for a period of three years (3060-1158) and, except for disclosure of packet loss, as it applies to mobile broadband Internet access service for a period of two years (3060-1220). The Open Internet Order stated that the Commission would publish a document in the Federal Register announcing the effective of the modified information collection requirements associated with the enhancements following OMB approval.
The Commission adopts this Report and Order to implement a historic consensus proposal for ensuring that people with hearing loss have full access to innovative handsets.
In this document, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission or FCC) proposes and seeks comment on revising the Commission's rules governing commercial mobile radio services. We propose to end the presumption contained in the Commission's rules that all applicants and licensees in the services identified in that section intend to license their facilities as commercial mobile radio service (“CMRS”) operations by eliminating that section and making related rule changes.

The Commission proposes to adopt a consensus approach developed cooperatively by consumer advocates and industry trade associations, which would require manufacturers and service providers to increase the percentage of new wireless handset models that are hearing aid compatible over time, culminating in a system in which all wireless handset models are accessible to people with hearing loss.
In this document, the Commission proposes to amend its hearing aid compatibility (HAC) rules to enhance equal access to the national telecommunications network by people with hearing loss and implement the Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility. The proposed changes would expand the scope of the wireline HAC rules, add a volume control requirement for wireless handsets, address recently revised technical standards, and streamline the process for enabling industry to use new or revised technical standards for assessing HAC compliance.
