Haw. Code R. § 19-122-307 - Verification of acceptable documents
(a) The examiner of
drivers shall authenticate all documents submitted as evidence of lawful status
or temporary lawful status under this subchapter electronically or by other
means deemed appropriate. Authentication sources may include but are not
limited to the following:
(1) Systematic
alien verification for entitlements (SAVE) system;
(2) Other means whether electronic or
manual;
(3) If two DHS issued
documents listed under section
19-122-305 are submitted for evidence of lawful status, and a SAVE verification of one
document confirms lawful status or temporary lawful status, the SAVE
verification need not be repeated for the second lawful status document
presented;
(b) The
examiner of drivers shall verify all documents submitted as evidence of the
applicant's social security number under section
19-122-302(b)(3)
electronically or by other means with the SSA. Verification sources may include
but are not limited to the following:
(1)
Social security on-line verification system (SSOLV);
(2) Other means whether electronic or
manual.
