Utah Admin. Code R414-301-3 - Coordination and Agreements with Other Government Agencies
(1) The Department adopts and incorporates by
reference

CFR 435.1200(b) and (d) through
(f), October 1, 2012 ed.
(2) The Department shall enter into an
agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to allow
the FFM to screen applications and reviews submitted through the FFM for
Medicaid eligibility.
(a) The agreement must
provide for the exchange of file data and eligibility status information
between the Department and the FFM as required to determine eligibility and
enrollment in insurance affordability programs, and eligibility for advance
premium tax credits and reduced cost-sharing.
(b) The agreement applies to agencies under
contract with the Department to provide eligibility determination
services.
(3) The
Department may contract with the Department of Workforce Services and the
Department of Human Services to do eligibility determinations for one or more
medical assistance programs authorized by the Department. The Department is
responsible for the administration of medical assistance programs authorized
under the Utah Medicaid State Plan, the State Plan for the Utah Children's
Health Insurance Program, and various waivers under Title XIX of the Social
Security Act.
