Utah Admin. Code R436-2-2 - Definitions
Terms used in this rule are defined as:
(1) "Foundling" means a deserted or abandoned
infant whose parents are unknown that is found and cared for by people other
than its parents.
(2) "Hospital" as
defined in Subsection
62A-4a-801(1).
(3) "Infant of unknown parentage" means a
newborn child who has been relinquished by a parent or parents who have not
identified themselves.
(4) "Newborn
child" as defined in Subsection
62a-4a-801(2).
"Relinquished newborn child" means a newborn child that has been relinquished
in compliance with the requirements of Utah's Safe Relinquishment of a Newborn
Child at Section
62A-4a-802.
