Utah Admin. Code R58-1-9 - Poultry and Gamebirds
(1) Poultry,
gamebirds, and hatching eggs imported into Utah shall be accompanied by a
Certificate of Veterinary Inspection or a National Poultry Improvement Plan VS
Form 9-3.
(2) Poultry, gamebirds,
and hatching eggs shall originate from flocks or hatcheries that are National
Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) certified for both Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian
Influenza by their official state agency, or tested negative for
Pullorum-Typhoid and Avian Influenza within the 30 days before entry.
(3) Gamebirds imported for release shall meet
the health requirements for release from the Division of Wildlife Resources
found in Rule R657-4.
(4) Poultry
and gamebirds shall be identified by one of the following methods when
required:
(a) Sealed and numbered leg bands;
or
(b) Group or lot identification
when a group or lot identification number (GIN) may be used.
