Utah Admin. Code R58-21-7 - Trichomoniasis - Rules - Non-compliance
(1) Any person who fails to satisfy the
requirements of this rule or who knowingly sells animals infected with
Trichomoniasis, other than to slaughter, without declaring their disease status
shall be subject to citation and fines as prescribed by the department or may
be called to appear before an administrative proceeding by the
department.
(2) After May 15 each
year, owners of untested bulls will be fined $1,000.00 per violation.
(3) Regardless of the time of year, owners of
untested bulls that have been exposed to female cattle will be fined $1,000.00
per violation.
(4) Owners of any
dairy bull or bison bull that has been exposed to female cattle from other
herds will be fined $1,000.00 per violation.
(5) Owners receiving a citation shall test
their bull and provide proof of the testing to the department within 30 days of
receipt of the citation or an additional penalty or fine may be
levied.
