Utah Admin. Code R392-102-1 - Authority and Purpose
(1) This rule is
authorized under Sections
26B-1-202,
26B-7-113, and
26B-7-402, and Subsections
26B-1-202(25)
and 26B-1-202(26).
(2) This rule requires a mobile food business
operator to adhere to uniform statewide standards for constructing, operating,
and maintaining a mobile food business in a manner that safeguards public
health - including risk factors contributing to injury, sickness, death, and
disability - and ensures that food is safe, unadulterated, and honestly
presented when offered to the consumer.
(3) This rule establishes uniform standards
for the regulation of a mobile food business, including the permitting process,
plan reviews, inspections, construction, sanitary operations, and equipment
requirements, which provide for the prevention and control of health hazards
associated with mobile food businesses that are likely to affect public
health.
