Wash. Admin. Code § 392-172A-01200 - Ward of the state

Ward of the state means a student within the jurisdiction of the department of children, youth, and families, children's administration through shelter care, dependency or other proceedings to protect abused and neglected children, except that it does not include a foster child who has a foster parent who meets the definition of a parent in WAC 392-172A-01125.
